About SDCTC

SDCTC IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO THE ACQUISITION AND PRESERVATION OF RIDING, HIKING AND MOUNTAIN BIKING TRAILS THROUGHOUT THE SAN DIEGO REGION.

Our Mission and Goals

San Diego County Trails Council will continue as the lead trails advisory organization for other trail groups and land managers by providing education, expertise and support for the acquisition, preservation and maintenance of riding, hiking and mountain biking trails.

SDCTCís goal is to serve both environmental and recreational objectives by encouraging a sustainable, interconnecting regional trails system that addresses demand for recreational opportunities and encourages land stewardship among trail users.

SDCTC stays informed about local, state and national current events that may have an impact on trails. We work closely with equestrian, hiking, mountain biking and OHV organizations and local agencies to increase support and awareness for high-quality multi-use recreational trail opportunities.

In short, SDCTC is an organized constituency of local trail users. But we are much more than merely the sum of our parts ñ we are a united community of trail and backcountry enthusiasts who are making a difference for the future of recreational trails in the San Diego region.

Please help us assure that future generations will enjoy high-quality outdoor recreational and trail opportunities.

Services

SDCTC is available to assist trail groups, land managers and individuals with specific trail problems. When requested, SDCTC representatives speak to trail and land management organizations about various trail projects. SDCTC maintains more than $100,000 in trail building equipment, which is available for loan to SDCTC members for appropriate trail-related projects.
